ESD Station Monitor CONTINUOUS WORK STATION MONITOR (Model: WSM-01) The Model WSM-01 is designed to continuously monitor the connections of ESD wrist strap & work surface. WRIST STRAP: This section continuously monitors the wrist strap to detect loss of continuity between operator and monitor. Conditions such as broken coils cords and improper contact with the skin are detected instantly to alert the operator before serious and expensive ESD damage can occur. As there is no resistance return path from the wrist strap, it uses the capacitive AC pulse principle to check if the operator is adequately grounded. The wrist strap section is automatically activated when wrist strap is plugged in. continuous monitoring reduces the need for periodic checks and also ensures greater security. ESD WORK SURFACE: The work surface is monitored by a DC Resistive principle and a warning is given in case the surface to ground resistance exceeds the safe threshold value of 10 Meg ohms.

CONTINUOUS WORK STATION MONITOR (Model: WSM-02) The Model WSM-02 is designed for continuously monitor the connections of two ESD wrist strap & work surface. WRIST STRAP: two-wrist strap sections continuously monitor the wrist strap to detect loss of continuity between operators and monitor. Conditions such as broken coils cords and improper contact with the skin are detected instantly to alert the operator before serious and expensive ESD damage can occur. As there is no resistance return path from the wrist strap, it uses the capacitive AC pulse principle to check if the operators are adequately connected to the instrument. The wrist strap sections are automatically activated when wrist straps are plugged in. continuous monitoring reduces the need for periodic checks and also ensures greater security. ESD WORK SURFACE: The work surface is monitored by a DC Resistive principle and a warning is given in case the surface to ground resistance exceeds the safe threshold value of 10 Meg ohms.

CONTINUOUS WRIST STRAP MONITOR (Model: WSM-03) Wrist Straps are the first line of defense against electrostatic charge build-up on the human body. They are designed to carry away this charge as soon as it is generated.
This model WSM-03 continuously monitors the wrist strap to detect loss of continuity between operator and monitor. Conditions such as broken coil cords and improper contact with the skin are detected instantly to alert the operator before serious and expensive ESD damage can occur. As there is no resistive return path from the wrist strap, it uses the Capacitive AC pulse principle to check if the operator is adequately grounded. The system is automatically activated when the wrist strap is plugged in. Continuous monitoring reduces the need for periodic checks and audits and also ensures greater security.

ESD EVENT MONITOR (Model: EED-01) The ESD Event Monitor is a portable, battery-operated instrument, incorporating the latest digital technology, to indicate the presence of approaching static electricity. It is designed to provide a quick and convenient method of locating static charges without any polarity. It is primarily intended for use in static-safe handling areas, as an early warning system to alert the personnel nearby. The hazard may be in the form of personnel who are generating static or personnel who may be holding a charged object without observing the standard safety procedures for handling static sensitive devices. The instrument incorporates a unique self resetting feature and therefore requires no manual adjustments or zeroing. It can be kept 'ON' for continuous monitoring of critical static-safe areas. Operation A static charge on any object produces an electric field whose strength is an inverse function of the distance from the charge. A given magnitude of charge always produces a given field strength at a given distance. The antenna of the instrument actually responds to this electric field. However, more specifically, it senses only changes in the electric field, so to detect a charge there should be relative motion between the instrument and the charged body.
